Meet the artist behind Slow Art

I’m Bobby Graham, sketch artist, author, and digital book designer. I create expressive visual work and refined digital books that invite a slower, more intentional way of seeing.

My background spans publishing, digital media, and art therapy. For decades, I’ve shaped books, images, and ideas. I often help artists rediscover confidence and creative rhythm through simple, focused practices on paper and iPad.

Today my work is centred on Slow Art, a practice grounded in attention, restraint, and emotional clarity. It informs everything I make, from observational sketches and digital collage to visual digital books shaped for the screen.

I have exhibited and published widely, and share my ongoing practice through my journal, Slow Art Life.

I live and work on Ngunnawal Country in Canberra, where I create digital artworks and books. I occasionally open my practice through small, considered workshops and by guiding artists and authors to shape their own digital books.

If you have a body of work and are wondering whether it could become a book, I offer a Digital Book Clarity Session — a focused conversation to help shape your ideas and direction.
