My courses grow out of my own practice as an artist and digital publisher. We spend time with the material, try different approaches and discover what happens when observation meets imagination.

Bring drawings, photographs and textures together in Procreate. Explore layers, colour and the choices that turn separate elements into an image of your own.
Books
Digital books. Shaped for the screen.
Consider how words and images work together as a book. Explore sequence, pacing and the pleasure of making a visual publication for a phone or tablet.
Process
Observation to digital form.
Move between sketchbook and iPad. Explore Procreate sketching, expressive marks and ways to combine handmade colour and texture with digital tools.

Through drawing, colour and words, participants notice details, follow their curiosity and make a personal record of what they discover.
Library Lovers
Find inspiration in books, collections and library spaces. Turn a visit into pages of observations, drawings and discoveries.
Museum Lovers
Look closely at objects and the stories they hold. Gather shapes, details and questions in a visual journal.

Spend time with artworks and respond through line, colour and words. Make a personal connection with what catches your eye.
Each workshop is shaped around the place, its collections and its audience. Other themes can be developed for your venue or group.
