Travel doesn’t always announce itself in landmarks or itineraries. Sometimes it reveals itself in pauses, glances, and quiet days.

New Zealand, the Nuanced is a Slow Art travel sketchbook shaped by looking, lingering, and responding to place. Moving between on-location sketches, photographs, and layered digital artworks, it captures small moments, shifting light, and the quiet emotional texture of travel rather than grand narratives.

New Zealand Summer Colours

A small Slow Art extra

While sketching my way through New Zealand, I kept noticing the light.

Not the dramatic moments, but the in-between ones:
soft greens after rain, long summer blues, pale sun-warmed yellows, the muted tones of land and water living quietly together.

This small colour palette grew out of those observations.
It’s a distilled set of summer colours from New Zealand, the Nuanced, made as a gentle companion to the book.

You’re welcome to download it freely and use it however you like:
as a reference, a mood-setter, or simply something pleasant to look at.
